An established tutoring business can prove to be very profitable. Consider the following scenario. A mother of 3 puts her children to bed between 7 and 7:30. She then logs onto the computer and for her first of two, hour-long, online tutoring sessions at 8:00 pm. She does this every Monday through Thursday nights and also 3 hours on Saturday morning. She charges $30/hr, a very reasonable price, and brings in a total of $330 for the week. Multiply this by four weeks and suddenly her monthly income jumped by $1,320.00! Not bad for working only 11 hours a week.

Not only will tutoring make you happier by increasing your finances and let you spend more time with your family and friends, but it will also give you a sense of accomplishment and pride. There are few greater feelings than seeing a child realize that they finally understand something that they originally believed to be complicated and overwhelming. As a tutor you would be the key to making students succeed and you can walk away from each session knowing that you made a difference in the life of a child.
